The 2011 Season
Whilst it is still the off season for the Cricket Club, planning for this year still goes on apace under new Captain Iain Sinclair following the retirement of Chris Palmer at the end of last season.
For 2011 the club will be entering a Saturday team in the Norfolk League as well as a team in the Mid-Norfolk Sunday League.
The Sunday Captain is Josh Hall with Vice Captain Callum Tindall (two of our younger players), and as well as looking for new younger players the club is keen to to attract older players back to the game, so if anyone would like to play we would like to hear from you - the Sunday side will have far less pressure than the Saturday side and is intended to be a relaxing days enjoyment with some competition thrown in for good measure.
Indoor net are due to start on Saturday 16th February at 4:00pm at Dereham Sports Centre so no excuses at the start of the new Season!
A few new players have been signed over the Winter - more details nearer the start of the season, but with 2 teams each week we are going to need more to give a better depth of players to allow for injuries and holidays etc, so if you know anyone that may like to play, tell us PLEASE.
