Report

North Elmham won the toss on a hot, sunny day and had no hessitation in batting first.

Ant Keeble was promoted to open the batting with Tony Garrod and Keeble was soon on the attack smashing 42 from 42 balls faced before miscuing a catch off Jamie Howes with the score on 57.
Chris Palmer joined Garrod but wickets started to fall at regular intervals until Rob Joplin joined his skipper in the 27th over with the score on 104 - 4. The pair added 46 before Palmer was run out for 44.
Ant KeebleJoplin soon followed for a beligerant 30 including a huge six which landed on the Brisley road. The innings stuttered from this point and at the end of the 45 overs, Elmham were 170 for 9 wickets. Jamie Howes was the pick of the visiting attack taking 4 - 43 from his 11 overs.
The Ketteringham Hall innings followed pretty much the same pattern as their hosts. Terry Briggs played the dominant role against Ant Keeble and Iain Sinclair before Palmer turned to Joplin and he broke the partnership with his 4th ball bowling Baker for 17. Josh Hall replaced Sinclair and took the important wicket of Briggs for 57. Again wickets were taken and at 109 for 4 from 23 overs the visitors appeared to be in the driving seat. Hall , Joplin and Calum Tindall  slowed the scoring rate but Farrow and Utting took the score to 143 before Hall took a good low catch to dismiss Farrow. From this point the visitors innings stuttered and the returning Keeble and Sinclair worked their way through the Ketteringham lower order. With the visitors only fielding ten men it was all over when pick of the Elmham bowlers, Josh Hall bowled last man Barrett to finish  with 3 - 16 from 6.3 overs. The Elmham skipper was very pleased and proud of the way his team kept going and in the end they were rewarded with the win and 25 points.
Next week away to Rollesby "A", players meet 1215 at The Railway Tavern.
