Chris Palmer won the toss and asked Garboldisham to bat on a wet wicket. Ian Sinclair and Ant Keeble both took an early wicket and the decision looked justified. Garboldishams youngsters batted sensibly and it took a good catch by Jack Harding to send back Hogg for 31. When Sinclair ran out Stephenson with a direct hit the score was 70 for 4 from 23 overs.  Shepherd, Melvin and Fiddler scored steadily  before debutant Christo Slabbert took an amazing catch off his own bowling to get rid of Fiddler. From being well placed Garboldisham collapsed from 140 for 5 to 150 all out as Ant Keeble ran through the lower order batting. Keeble bowled two exceptional spells into the teeth of a gale and finished with 4 - 25 from 10 overs. Unfortunately North Elmham decided to have an off day with the bat. Stephan Malherbe was unlucky to get out when looking set and he was involved in the only stand of note with Slabbert who top scored with 22. Elmham lost their last 5 wickets for 6 runs as young leg spinner Tippett ran amok with the lower order. Ian Sinclair secured a second batting point but Elmham were well beaten on the day. The team was very disappointed and hope to put it right at Beccles next week.
