    Report

North Elmham already being sponsored by "The Railway Freehouse" were presented with their new shirts from sponsor Stephan Malherbe, a partner in Brooklyn House Dental Surgery, Fakenham.

On winning the toss Elmham decided to bat hoping to put a good score on the board.
Unfortunately Nigel Raven, the experienced visiting skipper had other ideas and he tore into the Elmham top order with devastating effect.
With a mixture of good seam bowling and poor shot selection Elmham were reduced to 36 for 7 wickets. Home skipper Chris Palmer was joined by Andy Kay who batted well and the pair added 34 before Kay was bowled by Pyman for 24. Raven took his sixth wicket in his final over to finish with excellent figures of 6 - 33 from his 12 overs. This left Palmer to try and push the Elmham total to a respectable level. 36 runs were added for the last two wickets before Mat Elmar was bowled and the Elmham innings closed on 112. D. Pyman also bowled well for Shipdham taking 2 - 23 from his six overs. Shipdham faired little better as Ant Keeble bowled Junge with the first ball of the innings. Pyman batted positively before falling to an excellent catch by Josh Hall. Keeble took four wickets in six balls and Shipdham were 22 for 5 wickets. Andy Kay had been wheeling away down the slope without any luck and Raven hit him for a couple of lusty blows before holing out for 17. Luke Smith added 11 before being bowled by Mat Elmar and when Dennis was bowled by Kay Elmham had got out of jail and won by 50 runs.  Next week away to Garboldisham "B", transport from The Railway 1230.
