Grant King and Andy Kay took up the attack post drinks and both struck twice as Old Catton soon became 36 for 4 wickets.

After tea Elmham set about the Old Catton innings with gusto, King being very severe on the bad ball as he raced to fifty from 38 balls faced.
Stephan Malherbe struggled to find his usual fluent timing but eventually came to grips with the council prepared pitch and the pair knew that the target was to get to 116 then score a boundary to collect an extra batting point. This was achieved in the 17th over with King undefeated on 70, Malherbe on 40.
